Cincinnati Reds RHP Anthony DeSclafani looked good in his rehab start with the Dayton Dragons on Friday, but that wasn’t enough to beat the Clinton LumberKings.

DeSclafani pitched five scoreless innings, giving up only three hits and one walk. The former Lansing Lugnuts hurler struck out three and threw a wild pitch.

Clinton countered with RHP Art Warren, who gave up two runs (one earned) on six hits and one walk while striking out five in seven innings. He earned the win, improving to 3-0 with a 0.77 ERA in four starts this season.

Dragons LHP Jacob Constante got the loss, dropping to 0-3 with a 5.95 ERA in five games (four starts) this season. He gave up six runs on six hits and five walks in four innings.

SS Rayder Ascanio and DH Conner Hale each drove in two runs for the LumberKings.

Gatto Ks 11 in no-decision

In Fort Wayne, Burlington starter Joe Gatto struck out 11 and gave up one hit and four walks in five scoreless innings, but that wasn’t enough to stop the Bees from losing to the TinCaps, 7-5.

The TinCaps didn’t plate a run until the 7th inning, but they scored six times then, followed with an insurance run in the 8th. DH Ty France reached base three times and drove in three runs.
