Los Angeles Angels prospect Jo Adell returned to the Burlington Bees lineup Tuesday, and he played like he never left it.
Adell was activated off the disabled list prior to Tuesday’s game, two weeks after being shelved with a thumb injury. The centerfielder promptly went 4-for-5 to help lead the Bees to a 4-1 win over the South Bend Cubs.
The Bees offense was led by their No. 2 and 3 hitters (Adell and rightfielder Brandon Marsh, respectively). Marsh went 3-for-4 with two doubles, a walk, and three runs batted in.
Adell is batting .333 with five extra-base hits, 16 RBI, 14 runs scored, and three stolen bases in 14 games this season. Marsh is batting .327 with 3 HR, 22 RBI and 4 SB in 27 games.
