Anfernee Grier went 4-for-4 and drove in three runs to lead the Kane County Cougars to a 7-4 win over the Quad Cities River Bandits on Saturday.
It was his team-best 23rd multi-hit performance for Kane County this season.
Ramon Hernandez went 2-for-4 with a solo homer for the Cougars.
Those two players were the only Cougars to have a multi-hit game Saturday. The River Bandits had four such players, including Ronnie Dawson, who went 3-for-5 with two doubles and one run batted in. Carmen Benedetti, Chuckie Robinson and Troy Sieber each had two hits for Quad Cities.
Cougars starter Tyler Badamo got the win after giving up only two runs on 10 hits and no walks in seven innings. He struck out three batters.
The Cougars drew their largest crowd of the season Saturday, with an announced attendance of 10,491.
