LumberKings lose 10th straight home opener

The Clinton LumberKings lost 4-0 to the Kane County Cougars on Saturday, dropping their 10th consecutive home opener.

The Cougars offense was led by Anfernee Grier, who had three hits and a walk, and Marcus Wilson, whose two hits and a walk included a two-run triple in the top of the 5th inning.

Cougars starting pitcher Sam McWilliams got the win after giving up only two hits and a walk while striking out five batters in five innings.
