Former Dayton Dragons infielder Edwin Encarnacion reportedly has agreed to a three-year, $60 million deal with the Cleveland Indians. The deal reportedly includes a club option for a fourth year that would pay the slugger an additional $20 million.
Encarnacion batted .263 with 42 HR and 127 RBI in 160 games with the Blue Jays this year. He played for Toronto since the team acquired him from the Cincinnati Reds in a midseason trade for Scott Rolen in 2009.
Encarnacion spent the 2002 season in the Midwest League, batting .282 with 17 HR, 73 RBI and 25 SB in 136 games with the Dayton Dragons. He also played nine games with the Dragons in 2001.
