With a new baseball field set to be installed at Cooley Law School Stadium this offseason, the Lansing Lugnuts decided to let fans do something unique on the old surface before it is torn up.

Starting today, mini-golfers can putt through 18 holes for $5. The course will be open from 5 to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, and from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.

Golfers are encouraged to bring their own putters. Beverages and snacks will be available for purchase.

Lugnuts head groundskeeper Lenny Yoder is the course architect.
