Former Hot Rods pitcher makes MLB debut

Former Bowling Green Hot Rods pitcher Dylan Floro made his major-league debut in relief for the Tampa Bay Rays on Thursday.

The right-hander gave up one run on three hits in 1.1 innings. He struck out two and walked none.

The Los Angeles Angels won the game 5-1.

Floro pitched for the Hot Rods in 2013, going 9-2 with a 1.81 ERA, 85 strikeouts and 19 walks in 109.1 innings (19 starts).
