Midwest League Home Run Derby participants announced

Three players from each division will participate in the home run derby prior to this year’s Midwest League All-Star Game on Tuesday, June 21, at Veterans Memorial Stadium, home of the Cedar Rapids Kernels.

The East All-Stars will be represented by South Bend Cubs outfielder Eloy Jimenez (8 HR), Lansing Lugnuts first baseman Juan Kelly (4 HR) and Bowling Green Hot Rods catcher Brett Sullivan (9 HR).

The West All-Stars will be represented by Wisconsin Timber Rattlers outfielder David Denson (4 HR), Wisconsin Timber Rattlers third baseman Jake Gatewood (7 HR) and Cedar Rapids Kernels outfielder LaMonte Wade (4 HR).
