St. Louis Cardinals infielder Jhonny Peralta’s rehab stint with the Peoria Chiefs ended Wednesday with an 0-for-3 performance at the plate.
In five games with the Chiefs, Peralta went 3-for-13 with a double, a strikeout, and two runs scored. He played shortstop and third base.
Peralta’s rehab assignment shifts to the Cardinals’ Double-A affiliate Friday. His stint with the Chiefs was his first game action since undergoing left thumb surgery on March 10.
