Detroit Tigers right-hander Shane Greene looked sharp in his rehab start for the West Michigan Whitecaps on Friday, limiting Fort Wayne TinCaps batters to two hits and one walk in his three innings of work. He struck out five.

The game was scoreless when Greene was removed after 42 pitches. (The Whitecaps went on to beat the TinCaps 3-1.)

Greene has been on the disabled list since late April because of a blister on his right middle finger. It is unknown how long his minor-league rehab stint will last before he returns to the major-league pitching staff.
