The West Michigan Whitecaps announced the winner of their 7th annual Fan Food Vote contest, revealing “Dutch Love” as the top choice.

“Dutch Love” is described by the team as a “delicious combination of turkey pot roast, gravy, cheese curds and French fries wrapped up in a pita.” It will be served at the Comfort Food Cart located on the concourse behind home plate.

The winning entry received 26 percent of votes, while Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Pie finished a close second with 22 percent. The 1,300-calorie High Five Burger finished third with 20 percent. (You can read about those and other unique food items that were in the running here.)

“Dutch Love” isn’t the only new food addition to the Fifth Third Ballpark menu. Other new concession items include Cole’s Pretzel Sticks with pub cheese, soft pretzels with Founders Dirty Bastard Mustard (served in the Founders Craft Clubhouse), chicken chips, buffalo chicken sticks, and turkey pot roast and gravy.

Fans also can create their own gourmet hamburger at the Build Your Own Burger cart, where there will be a selection of waffle, pretzel, brioche and traditional burger buns; a third-pound hamburger, turkey burger or veggie burger patty; choice of cheese; and toppings such as guacamole, bacon, and sriracha ketchup.
