The Beloit Snappers announced Friday that Seth Flolid has been promoted to the position of general manager.
Flolid was hired as the team’s director of operations in January 2014, and was promoted to assistant general manager during the 2014 season. Team President Dennis Conerton had served as acting general manager since previous general manager Matt Bosen left following the 2013 season.
“I have had the opportunity to work with Seth for the past two seasons, most recently when he was our assistant general manager,” Conerton said in a press release. “The board’s decision to appoint him GM was a natural transition we had hoped would be possible when he joined the organization as director of operations back in January of 2014. Seth has been well-received by our fans and corporate partners alike, and has quickly become acclimated to our community and our market. I look forward to working with him in the years ahead.”
Flolid began his baseball career with an internship for the Duluth Huskies of the Northwoods League in 2012, then did a stadium operations internship with the Arkansas Travelers of the Double-A Texas League in 2013 before moving to Beloit. The Minnesota native has a sport management degree from the University of Minnesota-Mankato.
Flolid is the club’s 13th general manager since the team began play in 1982.
