The Fort Wayne TinCaps and the Kane County Cougars clinched the second-half division titles in the East and the West, respectively, with wins Friday.
As a result, the Midwest League postseason picture is now complete. In the first round of the playoffs, the TinCaps will have home-field advantage against the West Michigan Whitecaps, and the Cougars will have home-field advantage against the Peoria Chiefs. In the series pitting first-half qualifiers, the Lansing Lugnuts will have home-field advantage against the Great Lakes Loons, and the Quad Cities River Bandits will have home-field advantage against the Cedar Rapids Kernels.
The first round of the playoffs begins Wednesday. Game 2 of the best-of-three series will be played Thursday. If necessary, Game 3 will be played Friday.
