Cougars win 10th consecutive game

The Kane County Cougars beat the Clinton LumberKings 7-1 Sunday to win their 10th consecutive game.

RHP Markus Solbach won his seventh consecutive decision, improving to 8-2 this season. He gave up one run on six hits in eight innings, struck out four, walked none, and hit a batter.

Second baseman Henry Castillo led the Cougars offense with a 3-for-4 performance that included a triple and three runs batted in.

The LumberKings committed three errors.
