Former South Bend Silver Hawks LHP Enrique “Henry” Garcia was suspended 50 games Tuesday after testing positive for a banned substance a second time.

Garcia was released by the Arizona Diamondbacks last month. He currently is unsigned, so his suspension won’t take effect until he signs with another MLB team.

Garcia pitched well for the 2013 Silver Hawks, going 7-2 with a 2.25 ERA, 63 strikeouts and 10 walks in 60 innings pitched out of the bullpen. He didn’t look as good in 2014 when he went 5-3 with a 5.23 ERA, 46 strikeouts and 23 walks in 72.1 IP for the High-A Visalia Rawhide.
