This is what the outfield area of Cooley Law School Stadium looked like midday Wednesday.

South Bend’s Four Winds Field isn’t the only Midwest League ballpark where major renovations are taking place this offseason. A major overhaul of Lansing’s Cooley Law School Stadium is also taking place this and next offseason.

The “sexy” part of the project that everyone mentions is the four-story apartment complex that will be built adjacent to the outfield. The ballpark itself, however, should get its share of attention as it undergoes major renovation, getting new turf, dugouts, locker rooms, concession stands and restrooms, as well as a new scoreboard and some new seating.
