The full rosters for the 2014 Midwest League All-Star Game were announced this afternoon. The South Bend Silver Hawks lead the way with six representatives, while four other teams — the Bowling Green Hot Rods, the Peoria Chiefs, the West Michigan Whitecaps and the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers — each have five representatives.*
No team will have less than three representatives at the All-Star Game, which will be hosted by the Whitecaps on Tuesday, June 17. This year’s contest is the Midwest League’s 50th All-Star Game.
The starters for the Eastern Division team are Great Lakes Loons C Kyle Farmer, Lansing Lugnuts 1B Matt Dean, Bowling Green Hot Rods 2B Kean Wong, Lansing Lugnuts 3B Mitch Nay, South Bend Silver Hawks SS Andrew Velazquez, Bowling Green Hot Rods OF Granden Goetzman, Fort Wayne TinCaps OF Mallex Smith, Great Lakes Loons OF Joey Curletta and South Bend Silver Hawks DH Steve McQuail.
The starters for the Western Division team are Clinton LumberKings C Marcus Littlewood, Burlington Bees 1B Eric Aguilera, Burlington Bees 2B Kody Eaves, Wisconsin Timber Rattlers 3B Taylor Brennan, Clinton LumberKings SS Jack Reinheimer, Beloit Snappers OF Herschel “Boog” Powell, Peoria Chiefs OF Ronald Castillo, Quad Cities River Bandits OF Brett Phillips and Wisconsin Timber Rattlers DH Clint Coulter.
The starting pitchers have not been announced.

*A few hours after the rosters were announced, RHP Jonathon Crawford was added to the Eastern Division squad, giving the Whitecaps a total of six All-Star representatives. Crawford fills a spot left vacant by an injury to Silver Hawks RHP Adam Miller.
