I’ve got Internet access again!

Hallelujah, I’ve got Internet access again!

It’s early Sunday morning and I’ve checked in at the Super 8 in Fort Wayne. The first thing I did (after calling my wife, of course) was check the Internet connection here, and it works great!

I’ve been miffed at the EconoLodge in Franklin (near Dayton), Ohio, for several days because its poor Wi-Fi signal didn’t allow me to post in real time about my experiences at Fifth Third Field, home of the Dayton Dragons. I really like the ballpark, and I’ll write about it as time permits sometime this week. I also plan to write about the Cincinnati Reds’ Great American Ball Park, which is about an hour south of Dayton (which allowed me to squeeze a game there into my schedule between the Dayton and Fort Wayne legs of this trip).

Meanwhile, I’ll be going to Fort Wayne TinCaps games Sunday afternoon and Monday evening. I’m really looking forward to visiting Parkview Field, as I’ve heard and read nothing but great things about it. Also, 1978 NL MVP Dave Parker will be on hand Monday to pose for photos with fans!

I’ll end this post with trivia from the Great American Ball Park scoreboard:
