The rosters were announced Monday for this year’s Midwest League All-Star Game, which will be played Tuesday, June 19, at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark, home of the Kane County Cougars.
The starting position players for the Eastern Division are Fort Wayne TinCaps C Austin Hedges, Bowling Green Hot Rods 1B Jeff Malm, South Bend Silver Hawks 2B Gerson Montilla, Bowling Green Hot Rods 3B Tyler Goeddel, Lake County Captains SS Francisco Lindor, West Michigan Whitecaps OF Steven Moya, Lansing Lugnuts OF Kevin Pillar, Bowling Green Hot Rods OF Josh Sale and West Michigan Whitecaps DH Dean Green. The team will be managed by Lansing’s John Tamargo Jr.
The starting position players for the Western Division are Peoria Chiefs C Rafael Lopez, Peoria Chiefs 1B Paul Hoilman, Wisconsin Timber Rattlers 2B Greg Hopkins, Beloit Snappers 3B Miguel Sano, Burlington Bees SS Sean Jamieson, Kane County Cougars OF Lane Adams, Clinton LumberKings OF Jamal Austin, Kane County Cougars OF Jorge Bonifacio and Quad Cities River Bandits DH Colin Walsh. The team will be managed by Kane County’s Brian Buchanan.

UPDATE: Peoria Chiefs C Rafael Lopez has been replaced with Beloit Snappers C Jairo Rodriguez on the Western Division roster. Lopez is on the disabled list with a concussion after being injured May 24. The Chiefs hope he will be cleared to return for their first series after the All-Star break.
